Africa Hitech – The Sound Of Tomorrow
This glitched out nu soul style vocal track by recent Warp signing Africa Hitech is a real treat. Steve Spacek on the vocals. Be sure to also check the much more ragga-tastic A-side here.

Erykah Badu is back with a new album. I’ve been a big fan of Erykah ever since Mama’s Gun dropped in 2000 and have been following her throughout the years. Of course Erykah delivers on this album again. I’m particularly fond of the two tracks where Madlib provided the beats for (Incense and this horribly titled ‘Umm Hmm’ – reminds me of that awful neverending Crash Test Dummies Song ‘Mmm mmm mmm’). Other beats are provided by James Poyser, Dilla, 9th Wonder and Sa-Ra Creative Partners. The bass in this song screams ‘make love to me right now’, no?
Roska released his debut album last week, and it’s filled with kicks & snares, soul and bass. I really like all tracks, the album is modest, and a perfect balance between beats and bass. There are a lot of tracks out on YouTube, but this is maybe one of my favourites. Purrrfect flow!
We at the Worlds Below 100Hz can not get enough of Floating Points and his perfect blend of house and hiphop. His tracks are so well crafted, are so soulful and give us the perfect warmth during these cold winter nights. Here he remixes Angel Lady from Aaron Jerome.
Artist of 2009?

Where’s the track “how does it make you feel”??? Been waiting so long for that one!
The other half of Africa Hitech is Mark Pritchard, also known for his solo work as Troubleman and his other coop as Harmonic 313. The Harmonic 313 sound really shines through on “how does it make you feel”, which, unfortunately we’ll have to wait a little longer for.
You can check out “How does it make you feel” on Hepcat radio show #24!!
