Foals – Spanish Sahara (Deadboy Remix)
Deadboy keeps on delivering. This time with an exquisite remix for one of the few indie-bands that I like: Foals. Melancholic yet funky. Free mp3 through XLR8R here.

Claude Von Stroke – Vocal Chords
Perfect blend of emotions in this track. Playtime: in the morning after a long long night.

Clubroot – Cherubs Cry
Clubroot has often been hailed as ‘the new Burial’, but hasn’t really caused a stir in the dubstep community. I’m not sure his new album is gonna change much to that position, but personally I’m just glad this 25-year old kid issued a new album (II- MMX) filled with “dreamy bass heavy space music around the 140 [bpm] mark”, as he describes it himself. The title of this track (‘Cherubs cry’) says a lot about the atmosphere in this track.

Crystal Castles – Empathy
The new Crystal Castles album is awesome. This unofficial video for melancholic melodic electro monster ‘Empathy’ is even totally awesome. You can see dancers doing some proto-breakdance moves called ‘Voguing” in the 70s or 80s. Madonna popularized it and brought it to the mainstream world with her hit song “Vogue”.

the album is unbelievable. I thought CC was winding down, little did I know they we’re coming back in full force! Best work I’ve heard from CC so far (the entire album), really feels like their “coming of age”.

Box Mouse – 5:37 Outside The Station
We’re all fans of Echodub here at the Worlds Below 100hz (see previous posts here and here). The collective has now released the second installment of their “Echodub loves” compilation; you can download it for free here. As usual the compilation is a showcase of “some of the most beautiful music coming from the deeper end of the dubstep, electronic and IDM genres”. This is the second track from the compilation, check it if you’re into melancholic Burial-style dubstep:

Carsten Jost – Days gone by
Dial Records from Hamburg releases a new compilation filled with techno-at-ease, emotional minimal and roadtrip-by-night electronica. This reminds me of Superpitcher‘s excellent mix album ‘Today’. This compil is in the same league, and I love every second of it. Essential!
Boomkat has the full album as download. Go and buy it if you like this.
