Pendle Coven – Chord Calculus
This is why everybody should buy Pendle Coven‘s album ‘Self Assessment’. What a trip.

Great new stuff from XXXY. He has been on our radar screen before, but seriously watch this guy in 2010! Quirky cut-up vocals, great bassline and funky twostep breaks. Lovely new track.
What a find! (Both this blog and XXXY) Imma bout to work my way through every post, keep up the amazing work.
Hey Jon, good to see you like the songs here. We’re all discovering new music because of this blog, and we’re quite thrilled by what we hear. I hope you keep on visiting, listening and sharing. Spread the word.
On the 22nd of February UK wunderkind Joy Orbison will be releasing The Shrew Would Have Cushioned the Blow EP on the Aus label. Again top quality from the most cutting-edge artist around these days.
Fuck Pony is a duo project led by Jay Haze. This man is really hard to label as he produces almost every range of electronic music. Fuck Pony said to be his more housy side. The duo released a bunch of records on Get Physical but now Fuck Pony turn to B Pitch Control, home of Modeselektor, Apparat and Ellen Allien. Not so surprising as the album breathes the Berlin sound of the label.
The new album is now avalaible for stream on Luisterpaal.
This is one mesmerizing trip through echoed bits and reverbed bytes. There were several moments I was expecting the beat to fall in. However, the beatless suspense keeps you focused till the track finishes.
Supersounds by Pavel Ambiont, who released two tracks with Pinch. Enjoy.
Our friends at Unrezt / Thin Consolation released a new EP by Odaka (also known as Rawakari). The title track is just lovely. Its warm bassline carries the heartbeat of a puzzled mind, doubting between dancing or thinking. The beat+bass invites him to the dancefloor, but somewhere between those melodic pads, the loneliness awaits. Highly recommended.
Odaka @ Bxl Congres on 6.11.09.
Thanks to my colleague Esco, I discovered Floating Points (yes, this blog is all about discovering new music!) . ‘Truly’ has an amazing swing, and adds up layers of dissonant melodies. Think Zomby but happier, think Joy Orbison but more off beat. Perfect music to start the new decennium.
This is one weird track. It’s so out of the box, I got hooked by it. The beats discomfort me and the trancy loop makes me dizzy. Curious how it sounds like?
I discovered it by searching for the new Shed release on SubSolo (which will be released somewhere mid-december). I guess this label is linked to Shed, but I can not confirm. Any idea?
18 year old Numan unleashes this amazing tune ‘Secrets’ on Sub Depth recordings. This melody will haunt your mind for days, especially because of the melody twitches during the second part of the track.
Sick tune.
You can listen to all tracks at the SoundCloud of Sub Depth recordings or buy the EP at Juno.
Distorted harmony, like a shattered reflection of beautiness. Blue Daisy creates a world of bouncing dreams, pounding basslines and layered melodies. Strings have been scissorcut, let your mind float.

Love the moodyness of this one
