Serious Danger – Deeper
Seriously, I had to post this! Summer tune from 1997.
“You know a track like this makes sense on Steffi’s label when you listen to herself dropping it at Panoramabar on a hazy sunday afternoon, when everybody’s locked on and not letting go,” somebody commented at Resident Advisor. Hypnotizing 4×4 from this intriguing new producer from Dresden.
totally digging it!!! love hypnotic repetitive stuff! (als da nog ni duidelijk was)
this has been on repeat since my previous post, which was more than 10hours ago. I’m loving this so much right now.
Good

Lol. Same thing happened to me since i posted this and listened again. Non-stop on repeat. What a tune..

Some pumping minimal Detroit techno for you, from Underground Resistance co-founder Robert Hood. Released on the Belgian Music Man Records back in 2007, this banger just picks up with the beat and doesn’t let down over the course of 7 minutes. If you like driving basslines and trance-like continuity, then this is right up your alley.
Totally dig this tune. Love how uptempo it is. And you can always get me with a driving bassline and how the almost hypnotic infinite repeat almost lulls you into a trancelike state.
With this trio teaming up, what else can you expect than darkness, experimental sounds and stripped down beats? The main line reminds me of eighties new wave, or of a track from Aphex’ ambient collection. Obscure and special, check it out.
Fresh from the Mount Kimbie remixes, this one featuring on part 1, comes ‘At Least’ remixed by Instra:Mental.

What a calm soothing house track. Wonderful!
Essential records in your life. Everybody has some of them, and all are very personal, all have a story. Every time I play ‘On The Nile’ by Peshay, I read the same story in my mind, I see the setting, I hear the actors and feel the mood. My story is about hearing something totally different than what I’ve heard before. About putting the needle on a record for the very first time. The mood is warm, exciting, sheer pleasure. The actor is my brother. He bought my defining record somewhere in 1997. Time to thank him for that, I guess
The fine people over at Clone Records have decided to re-issue what is probably one of the best house albums of all time: Virgo’s self titled album from 1989. It’s amazing how fresh these songs still sound after 20 years. This is deep and dark Chicago House, and an absolutely essential purchase if you don’t have this album in your collection. Together with closing track ‘All the time’ this is one of my favourite tracks:
We’re all fans of Echodub here at the Worlds Below 100hz (see previous posts here and here). The collective has now released the second installment of their “Echodub loves” compilation; you can download it for free here. As usual the compilation is a showcase of “some of the most beautiful music coming from the deeper end of the dubstep, electronic and IDM genres”. This is the second track from the compilation, check it if you’re into melancholic Burial-style dubstep:
