We are music lovers and this is our blog. We share music of which we think it needs more recognition, more audience and more music-addicts. Just like you!
We are six people loving everything bass, eclectic, electronic, atmospheric, 4/4 and broken. But moreover, every song is loaded with soul and passion.
We post dubstep or minimal, detroit techno or drum'n'bass, dubtechno or electronic. We hope you enjoy your stay!
On the 22nd of February UK wunderkind Joy Orbison will be releasing The Shrew Would Have Cushioned the Blow EP on the Aus label. Again top quality from the most cutting-edge artist around these days.
This is Skream‘s succesful exercise in trying to let metal plates dance. The metallic melody moves between abstract techy beats and -in the second part of the track- a rolling bassline.
On the flip you’ll find Skream’s remix of ‘No Future’ by Instra:mental.
Fuck Pony is a duo project led by Jay Haze. This man is really hard to label as he produces almost every range of electronic music. Fuck Pony said to be his more housy side. The duo released a bunch of records on Get Physical but now Fuck Pony turn to B Pitch Control, home of Modeselektor, Apparat and Ellen Allien. Not so surprising as the album breathes the Berlin sound of the label.
The new album is now avalaible for stream on Luisterpaal.
Yes, in the beginning it sounds like a cheesy r&b remix is coming up, but when the bass kicks in after 30 seconds you know Joker is going deep down and dirty again.
This is one mesmerizing trip through echoed bits and reverbed bytes. There were several moments I was expecting the beat to fall in. However, the beatless suspense keeps you focused till the track finishes.
Supersounds by Pavel Ambiont, who released two tracks with Pinch. Enjoy.
I get so mixed up by hearing this track. It makes me feel positive, however the whole mood is in an unspoken way very sad. Its bassline tells a story of forgotten passion and lonely endless sights. Somewhere in the middle, the story turns out to be quite positive as hope flickers from the changed bassline. But troubled memories return near the end of the track.
Best served next to Triola‘s ‘Leuchtturm’ and Psychonauts ‘The Worlds Keeps Turning (Highfish & Zander remix)), like in Superpitcher’s Today mix album. Timeless!
After a couple of essential releases and after his much applauded album ‘Great Lengths’, it was a bit quiet around Martyn in the second part of 2009. And now I hear this! He delivers another wicked remix, now for Detachments on ‘Thisisnotanexit’ records. I’m especially fond of the second part of the track, where Martyn finds an emotional balance between bass, guitars, beats and vocals.
Another track I spotted in XXXY ‘s mix for Sonic Router is ‘Telescope’ by Icelandic producer Hypno. He has some great tracks on his soundcloud page. If you like the vague border between ravey house, garage and dubstep, then you definately should check him out.
I came across this garage tune in the XXXY mix for Sonic Router (fantastic stuff, download it at Sonic Router). A pure nineties bassline, Aaliyah samples, and shuffling hihats make this track a true classic. Sweetness!
deze doet het echt supergoed op de dansvloer! vrijdag gehoord in Café Capital!
